#6 of 6 in a self portrait series painted between 1998 and 1999. This is also an early piece in the Snapshot series. The original source is a photo of myself as a 3 year old. As I was painting, I noticed a thumbprint on the photo that I'm sure belonged to my mother. I decided to emphasize it as a comment on the lasting effects our parents have on the people that we become.
